The Aos Sí, also called Fair Folk, or Faeries, are both ubiquitous and mysterious. Some Irish tales describe them as friendly beings, saving those in peril; others describe them with fear, stealing sickly children away to the Otherworld. Their form can range from the mischievous leipreachán to the old gods of Ireland's past.
