Aengus Patch
"Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done,
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun."
W. B. Yeats, The Song of Wandering Aengus

Aengus Mac Og is the Irish god associated with love, youth, summer, and poetic inspiration. Aengus and his lover, Cáer, are associated with the swans that gather each year at Newgrange, the ancient site said to be the god's home.
This embroidered, heart-shaped patch presents an image of Aengus surrounded by birds in colors inspired by the modern Irish tricolor.
